Printed Label Quality Overview
At LabelGo, our printed labels offer different visual and physical characteristics based on your design preferences and selected fabric type. The fabric of the label directly influences the overall perception of your product in terms of texture, shine, and durability.
Both Label Studio and Label Configurator tools provide the same fabric options. You can choose from the following fabric types to personalize the appearance and feel of your printed labels:
Satin

Washing Instructions
- Machine wash up to 40°C (104°F).
- Do not bleach or use caustic oxygen whiteners.
- Iron at low temperature (preferably on the reverse side).
- Dry cleaning is allowed with standard solvents.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and high heat sources.
- Avoid humid environments to prevent ribbon curl.
- Do not stack under heavy pressure to avoid print transfer.
Application Methods: Iron-On vs Sewing
At LabelGo, we offer two main methods for applying printed labels: iron-on and sew-on. Depending on the product, material, and desired finish, each method offers specific advantages.
1. Iron-On Application (No Sewing Required)
For quick, clean, and convenient application, our printed labels are available with an optional iron-on backing. This backing features a heat-activated adhesive that allows you to apply the label using a standard household iron.
How to Apply:
- Place the label on the desired fabric surface.
- Cover the label with a pressing cloth or baking parchment to protect it.
- Press firmly with a hot, dry iron (no steam) for 10–15 seconds.
- Allow the label to cool and set for several minutes.

- Fast and easy – no stitching or thread setup required
- Clean finish – flat surface, no visible seams or stitch holes
- Strong adhesion – withstands regular washing when properly applied
Perfect for: Undergarments, children’s clothing, promotional items, and handmade textiles.
Care Tips: Wait 24 hours before first wash. Machine wash cold or warm; avoid high-heat tumble drying. For extra durability on high-stress areas, reinforce with a few stitches at the corners.
Fabric Suitability: Best used on smooth, heat-resistant fabrics such as cotton, polyester, and cotton-polyester blends. Not recommended for delicate, stretchy, or water-resistant materials.
2. Sewing Application
For maximum durability and long-term use, sewing your printed label is the most permanent method. Labels can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine, depending on your preference and production setup.
Sewing Options:
- Four-Sided Stitching: Provides a flat, secure hold across all borders.
- Fold-Over Labels: Sewn into garment edges, collar seams, or hem lines.
- End-Fold: Secured cleanly at the right and left folded ends.
- Flat Labels: Stitched all around the perimeter or at selected tack points.
