Woven Label Technical & Quality Guide
Detailed density levels, industrial specifications, certified care standards, and application methods.
Woven Label Quality Guide
At LabelGo, woven labels are produced with different weave densities depending on the quality level you choose. This density directly affects the clarity and detail visible on the label.
Both Label Studio and Label Configurator offer three woven label quality levels:
Eco: 52 density
Ideal for budget-friendly solutions, larger text, bold geometric artwork, and relaxed everyday garments.
Standard: 60 density
A balanced, versatile option between price and detail. Perfect for general apparel branding, streetwear, and knitwear.
Premium: 70–80 density
Offers maximum warp density, ultra-fine definition, and intricate detailing — especially recommended for complex logos, serif typography, and luxury fashion.
Every design is carefully reviewed by our weaving technicians prior to loom setup to ensure optimal thread balance and sharp registration.
OEKO-TEX® Certified Woven Label Material Assurance
At LabelGo, we use only OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified materials in all our woven label production. This certification ensures that the yarns and dyes used in our labels are free from harmful substances and are safe for direct skin contact.
The OEKO-TEX® certificate is a globally recognized, independent testing and certification system. Whether used in luxury garments or clothing for children, our woven labels meet the highest standards of safety and quality you can trust.

Engineered For Performance & Prestige
Our woven labels are manufactured using precision European rapier looms to deliver structural durability, vibrant colour integrity, and an unmistakable touch of craftsmanship.
Micro-Detail Damask Weave
Spun with 50-to-100 denier micro-polyester yarns, capturing intricate serif fonts, complex vector crests, and hairline curves down to 0.8mm without thread bleeding.
Zero-Scratch Ultrasonic Borders
Acoustic high-frequency edge sealing instantly seals yarn ends into a velvety, micro-soft border. Eliminates the harsh, prickly burrs caused by conventional hot knives.
Commercial Wash & Dye Resistance
Tested up to 60°C home laundry and 90°C industrial sanitization. Endures commercial enzyme washing, stone washing, and high-heat drying with zero colour fade or puckering.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class I
Tested free of harmful formaldehydes, aromatic amines, and heavy metals. Safe for infants, sensitive skin, and certified organic apparel lines.
5–7 Business Days Turnaround
Direct factory workflow with in-house loom setup, rapid pre-production sampling, and automated optical QC to guarantee on-time collection launches.
Care, Laundering & Storage Guidelines
Designed to maintain pristine appearance and tensile strength throughout the entire lifecycle of your garments.
Laundering & Water Temperature
- Machine Washable: Certified up to 60°C (140°F) for regular apparel.
- Industrial Washing: Resistant up to 90°C for medical and heavy workwear.
- Detergents: Compatible with all standard laundry detergents and eco-friendly formulas.
- Colorfastness: Compliant with ISO 105-C06 standard against bleeding and fading.
Ironing & Heat Finishing
- Direct Pressing: Safe for standard low-to-medium heat ironing (up to 150°C / 300°F).
- Steam Pressing: Fully resistant to industrial garment steam tunnels and vacuum tables.
- Iron-On Labels: When ironing over heat-seal backed labels, use a protective cloth.
Drying & Dry Cleaning
- Tumble Drying: Safe on normal low and medium cycle settings.
- Dry Cleaning: Fully resistant to standard commercial solvents (Perchloroethylene).
- Bleaching: Chlorine-free oxygen bleach safe. Avoid concentrated caustic hypochlorite.
Climate Storage & Handling
- Storage Environment: Store flat in a dry, temperate space (18°C–24°C, 40–60% RH).
- UV Protection: Keep away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- Shelf Life: Standard sew-in labels have indefinite shelf life; heat-seal backings maintain optimal tack for 24+ months.
Application Methods: Sew-On vs Iron-On
At LabelGo, we offer two main methods for applying woven labels: iron-on and sew-on. Depending on the product, material, and desired finish, each method offers specific advantages.
1. Iron-On Application (No Sewing Required)
For quick, clean, and convenient application, our woven labels are available with an optional iron-on backing. This backing features a heat-activated adhesive that allows you to apply the label using a standard household iron or heat press.
How to Apply:
- Place the label on the desired fabric location.
- Cover the label with a pressing cloth or baking parchment to protect it.
- Press firmly with a hot, dry iron (no steam) at 150°C–160°C for 10–15 seconds.
- Allow the label to cool and set completely for several minutes.
Key Benefits:
- Fast and easy – no stitching or thread setup required
- Professional finish – smooth, completely flat surface with zero visible stitching
- Strong adhesion – withstands regular washing when properly applied
Perfect for: Children’s clothing, handmade products, accessories, and DIY projects.
Care Tips: Wait 24 hours before first wash. Machine wash cold or warm; avoid high-heat tumble drying. For high-stress activewear, you can add 2 corner reinforcement stitches.
Fabric Suitability: Best used on heat-resistant fabrics such as cotton, polyester, denim, and blends. Not recommended for delicate silk or waterproof-coated nylon.
2. Sewing Application
For maximum durability and long-term use, sewing your woven label is a reliable and permanent method. Labels can be sewn by hand or with an automated industrial sewing machine.
Sewing Options:
- Top Stitching: Sewn around all four edges for a flat, secure attachment.
- Loop-Fold or Center-Fold: Sewn directly into neckline seams, side seams, or pocket hems.
- End-Fold Labels: Stitched on both folded ends, ideal for premium neckline branding tags.
- Flat Labels: Stitched fully around the perimeter or at selected tacking points.
Key Benefits:
- Maximum durability – engineered for frequent washing and heavy-use garments
- Flexible placement – works seamlessly across virtually any fabric weight or texture
- Custom finish – choose visible accent thread or concealed blind stitching
Perfect for: Fashion brands, outerwear, uniforms, formalwear, and garments where longevity is key.
